Avedon Exhibit- Tribute to Fashion
Dovima and the Elephants
From May 15th to September 6th, the International Center of Photography in New York City will host an extensive exhibit of Richard Avedon’s work as part of its tribute to fashion this year. (Past and upcoming exhibits include Edward Steichen, Cindy Sherman, and David Seidner.) Featuring over 200 works from Avedon’s career, this exhibit is a must-see.

Baracuda or Baracuta?
The English Harrington jackets of Steve McQueen and Paul Newman are back. Hickey’s Baracuda Jacket ($595) in yellow and J. Crew’s Baracuta Jacket ($275) comes in red, blue, and beige. While they both look good, J. Crew actually had the British company Baracuta make these jackets specifically for them.

Kate Moss Exhibit delayed TWO YEARS?
Originally scheduled to open at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs at the Louvre in November of this year, Kate Moss’s exhibit has been delayed until Paris Fashion Week in March 2011. Dedicated to Kate’s advertising work, this retrospective will detail the evolution of her successful career.

Kate Moss... Singing?
After dating Pete Doherty and performing live on some of his songs, Kate has finally come out with a full song on the Lemonhead’s album. The song is called “Dirty Robot.” As the Cut notes, its a combination of her “singing and speaking.” Liv Tyler is also featured on the album. Listen for yourself here: Dirty Robot.

New J. Crew Men's Shop in Full Swing
Today the new J. Crew Men’s Shop finally opened on Broadway between Madewell and Topshop at Broome Street. It is a fully stocked men’s shop with a suit parlor in the rear. They seem to be making this their flagship men’s store as they have now closed the Prince Street Shop for renovations. The Prince store will now only carry CrewCuts and the Women’s Collection
