The project began in 1981 headed by Glenn Martin, however, it took until 2005 and the 9th model to construct a jetpack that sustained flights. The new model released this year for purchase costs $100,000, and is available with a 10% deposit. It has a range of 31.5 miles and can fly at up to 63 mph. It runs on premium gasoline, gets 6 miles/gallon, weighs 535lbs, and is about 5ft x 5ft x ft. The Martin JetPack company requires you to take their flying course so you don’t crash.
