Made with roughly 26,000 diamonds and gems, this piece, called “The Simple Things” was designed by Takashi Murakami, Pharrell Williams, and Jacob & Co. Inside Murakami’s sculpture are the seven “simple things” Pharrell chose: a can of Pepsi, bottle of Heinz ketchup, Johnson’s Baby Oil, a bag of Doritos, a sneaker, and a condom. All items were covered in emeralds, sapphires, rubies, diamonds, etc. The piece sold for $2 million within 20 minutes of it being unveiled. It is the world’s largest diamond encrusted sculpture.
