Missoni Hotel
The new Missoni Hotel opened last month and, somewhat surprisingly, was not quite as covered in their zig-zag patterns. This hotel is in Edinburgh, and there are plans to open another hotel in Kuwait this fall, one in Cape Town for the 2010 Olympics, a Missoni resort in Oman in 2011, and eventually an “ecological” hotel in Brazil. The hotels are an effort to promote their Missoni Home brand and expand the reach of the fashion house. Rooms will start at $347 dollars a night.
The low profile facade of the building doesn’t exactly fit in with the architecture around it, the inside houses pretty swanky interiors.
