9 = 8 1/2 + D&G?
Rome- D & G outfitted as priests for the new movie Nine. Based on Frederico Fellini’s 8 1/2, Nine will be a musical motion picture. It’s directed by Robert Marshall who also directed Chicago (2002). A film for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. We have no less expectations of him this time, given the following cast:
Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, and Marion Cotillard- who won best actress for “La Vie en Rose.”
On the designers’ expansion from fashion into movies, The Cut relates it to when famous actors or actresses attempt fashion lines:
…Isn’t it interesting that Stefano and Domenico are starring alongside the likes of Daniel Day-Lewis and Sophia Loren fresh out the gate, while most celebrity lines are lucky if they can survive at stores like Sears?
