Soho’s Top Shop?: British Store Comes to SoHo
SoHo, NYC- Topshop has clothing stores in 100 countries. Topman, its men’s store, has 175 individual locations. Flagship stores are often colossal. It’s Flagship Store in Oxford, England is the largest fashion store in the world, at 90,000 sq ft.
The brand’s entry into the United States is not small. Slated to open in fall 2008, Topshop will finally open its 5-story store this Thursday, April 2nd at 11am. Their SoHo store at Broadway and Broome will be 60,000 sq ft and include (like the London Flagship Store) a full hair salon and a one hour tailoring service. Visitors this week will shop to hit tunes from top DJs playing from a suspended DJ booth, and can sign up for complimentary makeovers, manicures, and hair styling.
In addition, they have signed a contract with Barney’s to sell Topshop apparel in 19 of their department stores.
Kate Moss will be at the Opening on April 2, at 11 am. Where, then, will she be partying?
