Where The Wild Things Are

Maurice Sendak on Spike Jonze- “Spike is like a throwback, and then everybody on the trip of making the movie was a little bit of a throwback they’re all young people that I remember back in the 60s, kinda goofy, crazy, whacked out- but dramatically gifted.”

Maurice explains how Jonze is the only one who has been able to do justice to his book.

World’s First 3D Camera
Fujifilm’s new 3D Camera takes two shots of the same images and combines them to give the illusion of a 3D picture.  The camera is to be released later this year.  Fuji has lost a lot of its market share to the likes of Nikon, Canon, etc. However, with many patents on this new technology, they may be able to take back some of that share.  If 3-Dimensional photos catch on.

Lance’s Global Art Exhibition

Lance Armstrong is putting on an art show witha ll the proceeds of the auction going straight to his Lance Armstrong Foundation.  The show, entitled, “Stages” has 30 participating artists.  It will debut in Paris from July 16th to August 8th.  Then there will be a showing in October in New York City, then Los Angeles in November, and then the Portland Art Museum in early 2010.

Lance already rode some of the pieces for the show, including his Trek time trial bike designed by Mark Newson.  Above is another one of the bike pieces for the show, his Trek Madone by Kaws.

Lance says about the show- “This year it’s about more than winning the race. It’s about people coming together to use our talents and abilities for a cause bigger than ourselves and doing everything within our power to help those in their fight to overcome cancer.  This endeavor will help raise awareness and much needed funds for the foundation and those who need it most, researchers, patients, and their families.”
