Fashion’s Night Out
On the first night of Fashion Week there will be a city wide celebration of shopping and fashion. Many designer stores and departments will be open until 11pm in all boroughs. Anna Wintour has said she will be starting her night out in Queens with Michael Kors. Other celebrities will be out on the town promoting fashion as well and their are whispers of music performances, limited edition pieces, and even makeovers (??). On the downside there will not be discounts especially for the night, but many of the stores will be serving champagne and hosting parties.

Anna Wintour plays hardball with David Letterman promoting the documentary of The September Issue of Vogue. Topics of conversation include Dave’s socks, Thom Browne, and how mean she really is… or “decisive.”

It took 1,500 hours with legos and a camera to make this stop-motion. Tomas Redigh leaves nothing out as he builds and rebuilds all of the original games- Pong, Mario, Pac-Man, and Tetris.

Roman Signer: “Action Sculptures”
This is some of the strange newer work by artist Roman Signer. The works are a bit obscure at the very least. In other videos he is being dragged in a kayak behind a truck until the kayak wears through. Works such as these are “action sculptures” as they often leave behind some sort of aesthetic quality. In the above video he is actually holding two fireworks in each hand. Much of his work is centered around the spectacle and surprise created by his pieces. The “pieces” are videos of his demonstrations. One of his most obscure works is the below video, where he started 56 small remote controlled helicopters at the same time until the batteries ran out.
